DAY 68 - June 7, 2017

Our anchorage between the Statue of Liberty and Liberty State Park was simply the most awesome anchorage imaginable. Words cannot describe it adequately, so today's blog is simply pictures!

The first thing you encounter entering New York Harbor is the West Bank Fog Signal.

The Verrazano Narrows Bridge next comes into sight.

Just before going under the Verrazano Narrowss Bridge we passed the
 Vermont Trader container ship.

And the Seastreak Ferry that serves New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

It was not long before we were cruising by Lady Liberty herself!

And the Manhattan skyline!

We cruised around behind Lady Liberty to our anchorage!

You must be outside the Safety and Security Zone and past the Pipeline and
Cable Area, so we were actually between the backsides of the
Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. No other boats here!

Daydream and Lady Liberty. This is the one Great Loop picture that Patty has wanted since we started!

 taken at 5:30 a.m., but it just seemed like a fitting final image!
